Costco and Target Are Selling a Vegan Queso Dip That Really Tastes Like Cheese

If you’re thinking of going vegan or plant-based, there may be one big thing standing in your way: your love of cheese. Imagining never digging into a gooey lasagna, never cutting up a cheese plate, never dipping a crunchy chip into a vat of queso again is heartbreaking. But, if you’re still determined to live a vegan lifestyle, we may have a solution for that last heartbreak. Costco is selling a queso-style dip that contains not an ounce of actual cheese.

Instagrammer Costco Buys posted a photo of the queso, which was created by Good Foods. Instead of relying on dairy, Good Foods created an almond-veggie dip that just tastes like cheese. According to its nutrition label, it’s made with things like cauliflower, red bell peppers, almonds, apple cider vinegar, red onions, and the factor that gives it that cheesy flavor, nutritional yeast.

Because of its ingredients list, it’s vegan-friendly, gluten-free, and has no sugar added. Plus, it’s only 45 calories for 2 tablespoons. But what we really care about is whether it tastes good. Well, when Costco Buys posted the photo asking for reviews, people couldn’t help but gush over it.

“It’s incredible!!” one person wrote.

“It’s delish!!” another said.

You can pick this up at your local Costco for about $7.79. It looks like it’s also available at Target in a smaller size for $5.89. After all, Super Bowl season is coming soon and if we can swap out one thing made of cheese, well, that just lets us go even more HAM on the mozzarella sticks.
