Halle Berry Says She Fasts Every Morning Until 2 P.M.
ICYMI Halle Berry is seriously fit. (As if anyone could miss the 51-year-old’s undeniably killer bod.)
That’s why it’s important that you drop everything right now and tune in to Halle’s latest Instagram story because she and trainer Peter Lee Thomas are hosting their #PHITtalks series. This time around, the duo talked all things snacking—and why they believe in a dinner curfew.

For starters, Halle was asked to comment on her favorite snack between meals and she was quick to answer with an solution we can all relate to: protein bars.
“I am a snacker and I need to have snacks, a little bit of food throughout the day,” Halle said in the video, adding that she considers them a top choice when traveling or in her car going back and forth between sets. “Protein bars really work well for me to keep my energy up throughout the day.”
Halle held up two of her favorites. The first: Designs for Health, a bar that she said she gets from her doctor, but you can find on Amazon in various flavors. She added: “They’re low in sugar and low in calories.” She said her second choice is Bulletproof bars, namely the Vanilla Shortbread flavor, which she said is “money.”
The two also took on a question about whether or not they have a curfew for their eating habits. Thomas said he practices 16: 8 intermittent fasting, where he has “a window of eight hours that I eat which means I’m fasting for 16 hours.” He said that means he typically starts eating between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. and cuts off his trips to the refrigerator between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Halle said she also fasts in the morning, sitting down for her first meal around 2 p.m. She added: “Not that I don’t get nutrients and vitamins and minerals [during that time]…I just don’t sit down and have a meal.”
The two also touched on another burning Q: Do they eat pasta? Thomas noted that he loves opting for healthier pasta alternatives like zucchini noodles, or pasta made from brown rice or buckwheat.
Halle said she feeds her kids zuchinni pasta all the time, and they don’t really know the difference. That said, “there are times when you just need to have a little bit of pasta,” said Halle. “Go for it—I mean, I do.”
