Jennifer Lopez Just Shared A Rare No-Makeup Selfie
Jennifer Lopez really did wake up like this. Over the weekend, the 51-year-old showed off her stunning skin in a no-makeup Instagram selfie, and her glow is real.
“Good morning everyone!!! #MorningFace,” she captioned the post.
“Natural beauty! Simply gorgeous ????,” one person commented, while another wrote, “Gorgeous Mama!! ??.”
So, how does J.Lo keep her skin glowing and wrinkle-free into her fifties? She uses a few tricks to stay so fresh-faced.
First, after her sweaty workouts, Jennifer washes her face immediately. “I always, always wash my face after a workout. That helps keep my pores clean and my skin feeling healthy,” she told Hello!.
And she washes her face before bed as well, when she also moisturises. “I never go to bed without taking my makeup off, [and I use] night creams to keep my skin hydrated,” she said in an interview with People.
Her daytime routine is all about sun protection; she wears an SPF-packed moisturizer every day. “You have to protect your skin,” she explained.
But the secret ingredient to that J.Glow? Glycolic acid. She told the publication that she uses it to “get that healthy glow and clear skin.”
When it comes to J.Lo’s lifestyle, she also says sleep is key to helping her skin stay youthful.
“The number one tip is to always get enough sleep. I can’t stress this enough,” she told InStyle in 2018. “I would love to get nine or 10 hours of sleep, but either way, I always make sure I get at least eight.”
And her diet includes lot of water and fresh produce. “I think drinking lots of water and fresh foods with lots of fruits and vegetables (I keep [them] with me at all time) all play into the quality of skin’s appearance,” she also told People.
Not to mention, J.Lo loves to go makeup-free when she’s not working, per InStyle. “I am pretty low-key when it comes to my day-to-day beauty routine. I have to wear a lot of makeup for work, so when I am not working, I tend to wear little to no makeup,” she said.
