Sarah Hyland Just Shared A Stunning Bikini Pic Featuring Her Surgery Scars
Sarah Hyland may have just returned from a vacation in Mexico, but it’s not just the hot sun that’s making her latest Instagram post sizzle.
The Modern Family actress, 27, shared a photo on Monday, in which she’s wearing a bikini that proudly displays her post-op scars.

In 2012, Sarah underwent surgery due to her battle with kidney dysplasia, a condition where one or both kidneys don’t develop normally, according to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases. She was hospitalized as recently as June (although it’s unclear if her hospitalization was related to her kidney condition).
She also shared a shot of her surgery scar earlier in the month, during 4th of July celebrations:

Kudos to Sarah for showing by example that scars are beautiful, and for being so awesomely confident—especially since it hasn’t been an easy road getting there. In May 2017, she took on critics who body-shamed her about her fluctuating weight.
