Proactiv, the acne-fighting skin-care brand, beloved (and endorsed) by celebrities, including Jessica Simpson, Olivia Munn, and Justin Bieber, is tapping into our ever-present sense of childhood nostalgia. Thanks to a new Hello Kitty Brush Kit, Sanrio fans of all ages are going to make deep-cleansing cute again.
The brand partnered with Sanrio for a Hello Kitty–themed brush kit, complete with a limited-edition cleansing brush head in the shape of our favorite cartoon cat. The package comes with three brush heads to choose from: a bristle brush for a daily deep clean, a silicone brush for exfoliation and texture improvement, and a charcoal brush for brightening.
The kit will also include Proactiv Deep Cleansing Face Wash, a cleanser that's been clearing acne for as long as we can remember.
The combo kit launches in November, and will retail for $70 in Ulta stores. That means you have four months to clear the space in your bathroom and/or totally redecorate it to match Hello Kitty. Zits can be stressful, so who wouldn't want a cartoon cat to help you through your daily cleaning?
"Proactiv is a leader in skin-care innovation and cleansing products," Jill Koch, senior vice president of licensing and business development at Sanrio, Inc., said in a statement, according to PopSugar. "We look forward to launching our partnership with Proactiv later this year to offer a new limited-edition Hello Kitty Brush Kit that will bring smiles to our fans, along with healthy-looking skin."
Hello Kitty has lent her ears to many a beauty collaboration in the past, including DHC lip and lash products, a full collection for ColourPop, and a bright pastel range of nail polishes for OPI. That's one glam Kitty — and now, she can also be acne-free.
The Proactiv Hello Kitty Brush Set will retail for $70 at Ulta stores this November.
