She puts her success down to Kayla Itsines’ BBG program, which helped her get happy and confident.

“From bloated & uncomfortable –> happy & confident in my sassy @vspink bra ?” she wrote. “From limited carbs/calories followed by days of binging –> a balanced diet of sweet potato & oats! ?Increased cals = bundles of energy for the gym = amazing results = happy happy Laura = simple!

“Thanks girl @kayla_itsines I owe you one Happy Thursday, I am so jetlagged still.. I couldn’t get up this morning… a big coffee needed & hopefully off to the gym at lunch! Just like everyone I’m not always in the mood for the gym & I’m definitely NOT going beat myself up about missing a morning workout.. always listen to your body & find the next gym opportunity!”

She shares a lot of her go-to meals on Instagram, which include oats, sweet potatoes, fruit and more.

Carbs are not the enemy! It's crazy to think last year I would avoid oats at all cost with the worry they were too high in carbs. Protein porridge is now a staple part of my daily routine – a big bowl of yummy oats fuels me for the gym & leaves me with energy to push myself harder. Plus it makes me happier & less 'hangry' in the morning! I blend 40g of @the_goodguru into my oats & sprinkle with cinnamon & berries (makes my porridge super creamy ?) ?? • I recently set myself a mission to educate myself further on carbs, protein & fats. Without any qualifications myself I sought the help of qualified nutritionists to continue my education and was left amazed at just how little I knew. A few things I discovered: *Firstly I didn't realise in order to reach my fitness goals I need to fuel my body with more protein. I have been actively working to increase my protein intake. Adding protein powder to my porridge is a quick & practical way to do so. It's important to note every person has individual needs & I would highly recommend seeking expert advice if you would like to gauge how much protein you should be eating! *Secondly for the last six months I randomly decided to start replacing milk with soya milk in my coffee… in reality I have no idea why? I have now researched all milk/alternative milk options & make choices based on my individual needs, I no longer drink soya milk ? *Lastly I didn't realise just how much fat I was eating. Whilst I have been consuming 'good fats' – avocado, olive oil & nuts… in my eyes because they were 'good fats' I eliminated the idea of portion control. I have pretty much lived off avocado every brunch for the last year & whilst I continue to love avocado I am now mindful of portion control ✨ • The above points highlight three instagram fads I have picked up over the last year. I am highlighting this because I do not want you to fall into the same trap of copying Instagram trends! You will never see me giving nutrition advice because it's SO important to seek advice from a professional. Following trends on here is a easy mistake to make, just be mindful who you are taking advice from! ✨ #thegoodguru #begood #mondaymotivation #ad

To help keep us on track & if we know we are definitely home Pig 2 & I always try to plan our dinners in advance ?
