Jealous boyfriend sends girlfriend 12 absurd rules during her night out
A British woman could not help but laugh at the irony of her situation when she received a long list of ridiculous rules from her now ex-boyfriend during her night out.
Zoe Scholefield, of Wakefield, West Yorkshire, went on Twitter last Friday to share a text she received from the jealous man. Scholefield was apparently at an electronic music festival and talking about the artists who would perform when her former flame sent her 12 rules he wanted her to follow.
“Don’t dance like a slag like in reflex,” he writes in the text message. “Don’t get too drunk.”
As the list continues, the rules become increasingly reflective of the man’s controlling nature.
“No boys and if anyone comes up to you and talks to you you tell them you have a boyfriend,” he writes.
“Always send me photos of front and back of what you are wearing so I can approve and say whether or not I think you should wear it,” another rule reads.
The list ends with perhaps the creepiest rule of all.
“If you can want a video of room before you sleep to prove no one else is there and you are off to sleep,” it reads.
After Scholefield’s ex sent the list, he purportedly couldn’t follow his own rules and cheated on her.
“Funny how my ex sent me stuff like this then has the audacity to cheat on me,” Scholefield tweeted.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Scholefield’s post has been retweeted 3,000 times and received strong responses from fellow Twitter users.
“Don’t know who needs to hear this but if your partner lists even one of those things then you should show them the door,” one person wrote. “Control isn’t affection or love.”
“Omg…….Thank God he is your Ex now,” another tweeted. “How dare he type all that down for a night out … yeah usually the ones that do that are the ones ALREADY cheating … what a muppet he is!!! He doesn’t deserve anyone ever. You have dodged a massive bullet there!”
